3 ways to know your vehicle has a bad wheel alignment

The vehicle feels as it pulls to one side. Whenever you’re on the road you will notice a slight pull to either side of the road. This could be a cause of a bad wheel alignment. The idea is your car should be adjacent with the road and not pulling randomly to either side. Sometimes hard take on pot holes, speed bums, etc. could be the cause of this sudden change in the car.

Uneven or Loose Steering Wheel

It’s hard to notice at first, specially if you’ve never had this problem before and aren’t experienced with car. But as it may appear to be normal, having an uneven steering wheel shows what a bad alignment looks like. At times the steering wheel may feel loose when at high speeds or taking a curve slowly. Either way of these the steering wheel needs to be checked, because this lead us to the third cause or sign.

Unusual Wear and Tear On The Tires

Unevenly aligned tires can be identified by while your car is in stop, rotate the steering wheel all the way to one side. Then check the wheels on both sides of the car. If you notice any wear and tear on either side of the tire, more than the other, then you could be having a bad wheel alignment which this causes to having to replace your tires earlier than usual and costing you more money in the long run.

Most common to know

Did you know when exactly an oil change is needed?

The best of our services include premium oil changes.

An oil change is necessary twice a year, in some cases once a year. It all depends on how many miles you drive and the frequency use of the vehicle. Most of the time this number of miles can rang from 7,500k or 15,000k. Various numerous factors have a role to play. For example, if premium synthetic oil is used then it is expected to last longer and help your motor better. Another example would be the type of vehicle as well as oil required for your vehicle.

Indications your car needs an oil change

The most common questions come to mind, how can I identify these?
Below we have separated it in 3 categories.

This is the first indicator advised by your vehicle

Check oil lights or dash board lights are the first indicators something’s wrong with your vehicle. Most of the time they show up as orange, yellow, red, or green and they come with an icon or symbol. This helps identify the problem on the vehicle’s user manual. By identifying which icon is on you can determine what are the signs of a faulty vehicle part or common maintenance.

Most vehicle check oil light is an indicator of regular preventive maintenance. For which some vehicles have sensors for. In some cases the sensor could be failing, this means that regardless of what it could be its better to have a mechanic take a look at it.

Engine Noise or Knocking

Have you ever listened to how a small piece of metal sounds inside a bigger metal part?

If you haven’t I suggest you look up “Engine Noise or Knocking” on YouTube. As it’s pretty recognizable once your hear it for the first time. The interesting part is that a knocking sound could mean various problems for example, low engine oil or burn engine oil. When this happens you will feel weird sounds on your vehicle at a high speed, it could also result in excessive exhaust fumes and a particular smell. The second is that a leak might be occurring and this could be because of a loss of pressure over time, or worn off parts. So if this is the case, then you must take care of the leak first. This is best done if the vehicle is elevated from the surface to a higher point in which is safe to get under. To perform this we recommend using a professional.

Oil Dark Burnt Color

The third identifiable is the color of the oil. Good oil could vary from yellow, golden, or almost light brown. This will depend on the indication your vehicle has because just using any oil type can be the most harmful action for your vehicle.

The correct way to see if the oil is good, or not is to pop the trunk open and look for the oil dip stick. This must be done with the engine shut off and if you’re checking it right after driving the car, then we recommend to wait 20 – 30 minutes. This will help the oil levels to settle and to cool off the engine before checking it. Once located the dip stick, it must be pulled out, and make sure you have a cloth or paper tower on hand to clean it. After cleaning it, stick it back in, wait 10 seconds and pull back out. Based on the dots or indicators where the oil ends (that’s how much it has or needs). You can also see if the oil is dark brown or almost color black up to a point in which it looks dirty or burnt.
